Dell 922 All In One Photo Printer Driver Download - The Dell 922 Photo All-in-One Publishing device 922 is an affordable shade ink jet multi-function with a flat bed checking device that is in accordance with the Lexmark X5270. Although the Dell rates the 922's create rate at a quick 19 webpages per moment black and white and a rapid 14 webpages per moment shade, in CNET Laboratories, the Dell 922 was one of the slowest-printing, yet fastest-scanning multi-function inkjets we've examined. For inexpensive and high-quality flat bed checking, duplicating, and image-manipulation tools, the Dell 922 is the ideal choice. However, if you need quick printing and/or advanced fax options, you'll be better off with the Cannon MultiPass MP390 flat bed multi-function printer instead. Carrying Dell's signature colors, the Dell Picture All-in-One Publishing device 922 has a wide, silver lid-- similar to the bonnet of a Sixties car, with a dark underbelly and papers trays; it's effective, not beautiful. At 9 pounds, the light and portable Dell 922 is however a bit heavy for a multi-function in its class, calculating 17.2 by 12.7 by 6.6 inches wide (W, D, H). Since increasing the papers containers improves the Dell 922's size and details by about 5 inches wide, this is a not a bulk manufactured for little areas. A little cpanel with a two-line LCD is on the top right.
Although this is a photo-quality multi-function printer, Dell doesn't include media-card spots or direct camera-to-printer ports--a big omission, we think. A single USB 2.0 port (cable not included) is situated on the returning of the device along with the power-cord plug, and despite its lack of a system interface, the printer can function as part of a peer-to-peer system.
The Dell 922 also contains high-yield dark and shade ink jet refills. An optionally available photo container is available independently. The multi-function computer printers 8MB of RAM is not upgradable.
The Dell 922's feedback plate, in the returning of the device, keeps 100 linens, while the outcome plate that expands from the front keeps 50 sheets--fairly standard for a home-based multi-function printer but insufficient for most little companies. The little cpanel on the right-hand top contains one key to duplicate and one to check out, plus a little, ruby mistake mild, and a selection key to personally modify the document great quality and other factors. Information seems to be on a little LCD above the management buttons, but the display can be difficult to read because it is set returning at an uncomfortable position and is not backlit. It's generally easier to modify configurations through the application than on the cpanel.
The Dell 922 is limited to Windows 2000 or XP operating-system, and it isn't suitable with Mac pcs. Set up is simple using the surrounded installation piece and CD, although the LCD terminology choice on our test unit originally late to France at installation. To change the terminology on the Dell 922's display, turn on the printer, then press and hold the Energy and Terminate management buttons simultaneously for about 10 a few moments. The terminology options will then search across the LCD. The Dell Picture All-in-One Publishing device 922 is mainly developed for printing, duplicating, and checking, providing only mild fax abilities. Since the printer is built around a Lexmark engine, many of its features (and its software) will be familiar to Lexmark owners, such as N-up printing, which allows several pictures to create on one page; borderless photo printing; and poster, brochure, and cards options. The standard pop-up display that seems to be while printing can be annoying, though its ink level pointers are useful. Unfortunately, the create rate is pretty slow.
The Dell 922 is a reliable separate photo copier for occasions where you need a quick duplicate and don't want to start up your computer. It can produce up to 99 duplicates at once, providing various rate and print-quality options for less effort of use. Most amazing, though, is the review option--available through the All-in-One Middle software--which allows you check out, fax, duplicate, modify images, and perform other projects from your PC desktop computer. A review choice allows you plants a papers or descreen (remove) pictures digitally, if necessary.
As a checking device, the Dell 922 will transfer written text or pictures directly to computer file, fax, or e-mail. The Dell 922 uses Microsof company e-mail applications, such as Perspective, or non-Microsoft e-mail programs, such as Eudora, by adding them to the list of standard location options on the All-In-One Middle application. To modify your examined pictures, you can use the included Jasc Software Color Store Pro 8.0 or Microsof company Word or Color. For modifying examined written text, Dell provides Abbyy Fine Audience 5.0 Dash Plus visual personality identification (OCR) application. Other included application contains the Publishing device Solution Middle, providing thorough problem solving, servicing, and how-to tips; and Dell Picture Studio room 2.0, which offers instant access to Color Store Pro 8.0 and Dell-branded image-management options.

In our assessments, the Dell printed design at a a little bit below-average 1ppm (page per minute), but it released written text easily at a rate of 7.7ppm. It also examined quickly: the 922 examined a 4" x 5" photo at 100dpi in just 15 a few moments.
DELL 922 printed was a little bit rough and seemed dark, yet was readable down to very smaller portions. Range art seemed pretty sharp, though filter similar lines printed too dense and overlapped a lot. Color design on simply papers seemed washed out and too lemon, although doldrums showed up genuine. On shiny papers, images also showed up too lemon, but other colors seemed more genuine, and they maintained details well. Copies of a written text papers were sharp, but duplicates of plain-paper design seemed washed out.
The case is little and smooth, but the lid to the flat bed checking device feels cheap and mild. The system is bare-bones; for example, it does not have an LCD board for setting the number of duplicates, changing the duplicate great quality configurations and so on. Next to the flat bed checking device, however, there are management buttons for starting assessments and making duplicates.
Dell contains Lexmark's well-designed All-in-One Middle, a car owner for duplicating, delivering a fax from a PC, and checking to a specific application, computer file, email or fax. Depending on the choice, the application sets the quality. A create position box shows how much ink is left in the refills whenever it printing.
